Sorry I’ve kept you waiting so long to bring you Calie’s big outdoor adventure.
Last week the harness and leash arrived. Since Rick bought these, I thought it only appropriate for him to have the honors of acclimating our little feline with her new outdoor attire.
Many of you wanted to see a video of the Calie’s reaction to the leash and harness, so I made it a point to capture it on “digital” film. I’ve never edited a movie or uploaded it before, so that took some time to figure out.
So, without further adieu, here it is.
No, she didn’t seem to enjoy it too much, but Rick came out unscathed. And so did she.
After Rick attached the leash, they were out the door.
The new delicacy for Calie was grass. Well, actually anything that was green was getting a little taste test.
This cat was in heaven!
And Rick was just letting her take her time to smell the roses eat as much grass as she wanted.
We gave her about 20 minutes outside before she reluctantly let us bring her back in the house.
She has been outside quite a few times since that day, and the leash allows her 16 feet of freedom (until she gets by a plant that I’m not sure she should take a bite out of… then the brakes go on and she goes somewhere else).
So what’s next for this little Princess?
Her own castle, of course (aka: an outdoor enclosure) that came the other day.
If she wasn’t spoiled before, she’s getting there pretty quickly.

Haha, love the video! And yes, now Callie’s getting spoiled, but that’s ok!
Did notice something… Dad’s dressed up…. hmmm…
Well, he was~sandyrooney~sandyrooney~sandyrooney~sandyrooneyem> staring in a video 😉
Actually, he was at a funeral earlier in the day. He cleans up nice, eh?
Yes, he does clean up nice! I can’t remember the last time I saw Dad in a tie… but I figured that’s why he was dressed up.
Nice to spoil the cat. Also second reason for getting the leash and kitty palace is that your mother cannot say: ” We can’t go visit the grandkids this weekend because I have to watch Kalie” So it will be nice to have traveling companions! LOL Christine’s wedding will be the first test of her on the road.
Funny the image of cat hair flying out the car windows at 60 MPH comes to mind….
The amount of cat hair flying will depend on who is driving 😉
LOVE IT!!!!!
