At least, that is what is it supposed to be like.
Unfortunately, since I’ve started my Monday’s off 3 weeks ago, that is exactly what I have gotten: A Tuesday that has all the characteristics of a Monday. Which, as all of us know, Monday sucks big time.
But it doesn’t end there. Lately Monday lasts ALL WEEK LONG!!
Since when was I nominated to put out all the emergency fires at work? My “normal” job (which I haven’t been able to perform as a stand-alone act for months now) already encompasses 2 jobs. Now I’m the frickin mayor of 27 more!
So when that clocks strikes 3:30 and I leave all my emotional work crap at the door, I look forward to going home and relaxing, because everything is rainbows and unicorns at home and the emergencies of others don’t follow me there.
No, they don’t, but my own stupidity does.
All prepared to make a lovely chicken dinner last night, I open the fridge to… no chicken. OK, I know that I pulled it out of the freezer and put it in the microwave to defrost……..
Oh crap. It was still in the microwave. 20 hours later.
Well now, that sure put the silver lining on my day. Luckily, we still had another package of bird in the freezer. But that’s not the point. I had to throw out food that got forgotten in the microwave.
By ME! Something that I have NEVER done before. Really and truthfully, I have never done that before.
And, since I had Monday off, I did not have the option of using the “I was so stressed out from work” excuse for my forgetfulness.
I think I’ll blame it on age.
Or maybe because I might have been engrossed with “Pawn Stars” at the time. And then “American Pickers” came on, and well, you know how it can be with good TV.

LOL….freudian slip, my dear? What could be wrong with a chicken left in the microwave for twenty hours. I would have cooked her up. You hubby would never have known the difference.
I didn’t want to poison you intentionally 😉
Very nice, Mom! hahaha
You are NOT old enough for senior moments yet darlin! That’s my claim to fame! But yours is a good one!
Maybe I’m just in training 😉
