Because right now I am completely and utterly stuffed. Filled to the gills. Canteatnomorethankyouverymuch full.
We held our annual Feast of Thanksgiving today at the college. This is an event where we honor our elders with food and gifts, as well as our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for all that they are and do for us.
Faculty and staff all donate gifts that will be given to these wonderful men and women after they are treated to the biggest buffet you have ever seen. And by big, I mean roughly the size of Texas, and that doesn’t even include the 4,967 desserts that they can choose from (if they have room for more, which never seems to be a problem).
So if you don’t see me for a couple days, I’ll be sleeping off a food coma.
But if you do happen to find me walking around deliriously and speaking gibberish, just gently guild me back to my home. It just means I had one desert too many and am working off my sugar high from the homemade cheesecake I just had to have because my eyes were bigger than my stomach.
Uffda!
