After enjoying several days this week with above normal temperatures (by which I mean the upper 40s), it was only a matter of time before reality reared it’s head and reminded me it is still winter… technically.
Now I guess we have this to look forward to.
The Weather Channel currently has this information available for my area:
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR ACCUMULATIONS OF SIX INCHES OR MORE. MOST OF THE SNOW WILL FALL ON SUNDAY INTO EARLY SUNDAY EVENING.
* WINDS AND VISIBILITY: GUSTY EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP BY SUNDAY… ESPECIALLY AROUND LAKE SUPERIOR. BLOWING AND DRIFTING WILL DEVELOP AS THE SNOW STARTS TO PILE UP. VISIBILITIES IN BOTH BLOWING AND FALLING SNOW WILL DROP TO A QUARTER MILE IN SPOTS.
* MAIN IMPACT: SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY ROADS ALONG WITH LOW VISIBILITIES.
Oh joy.
I will now return to my previous thoughts of sunny days with highs in the 80s.
