When I finished my shopping on Monday, I swung by a park that Rick & I have taken the grandkids to.ย It doesn’t have a swing set or other things for them to play on, but it does have lots of room for them to run around and enjoy being by the river that runs along side it.
As I was getting ready to hop out of the car, an eagle flew overhead, signaling a welcome to me.
I love it when they do that.
There’s just something about being by the water.
Listening to the sound it makes.
Making you forget that you are in the middle of a town with a major road not more than a 1/2 mile away.
Watching the plants come back to life after their long rest.
OK, somebody please tell me what kind of tree this is, because these buds are just amazing!
I always get a kick of the birch trees when they are budding in the spring.ย Their long tentacles dangling from the branches.
All those tiny seeds, waiting to hit the ground.
I could have spent hours walking around and taking pictures, but I had groceries in the car, and some of them were of the frozen variety.
And I had to make it home with them in the same way.
I think I’m going to make this a regular stopping point when I make my trips to town.ย I have a feeling there are more things there yet to be discovered.

Stunning pictures as always Mama!
I’d say you’re biased, but thanks for the compliment ๐
Maybe a little, but it’s still true ๐
